Invent a Flavour 2009

We have come to the end of our first annual ‘Invent a Flavour’ competition. This year it was Penpol school that were asked to invent an original flavour. With over 100 truly amazing & creative drawings to choose from we whittled it down to six finalists, who then came to our shop to make their creations before being  judged by a panel of top local celebs. One winner from The Juniors & one winner from The Infants was chosen and their ice cream will be on sale at Mr.B’s displaying their name & school logo with all proceeds going back to the school. So here are the finalists flavours…

The Juniors
‘Tropical Fish’. Banana, strawberry & coconut  ice cream by Jared.

‘Death by Chocolate’. Dark, milk & white chocolate ice cream, chocolate buttons & chocolate ripple by Tom Brown.

‘Chewy Toffee Cheesecake’. Pamatis ice cream, toffee chunks, marshmallows & crumble by Guy Griffiths.

The Infants
‘The Rainbow’. Banana ice cream with a fresh apple ripple by Tia.

‘Star Mango’. Mango ice cream, pineapple sorbet & stewed blueberry ripple by Josh Turner.

‘Twinkle Ice Cream’. Blueberry ice cream, apple ripple & pinenut brittle by Grace Middlemiss Fox.

And the winners are ………..’Chewy Toffee Cheesecake’ and ‘Star Mango’. Well done Guy & Josh. Thank you to the Mayor & Mayoress of Hayle, Aileen from The Co-op and a big thank you to Mrs Titley for helping to organise a really great morning. Photos coming soon.
