Mr. B Senior
With 35 years worth of catering experience Mr. B really knows what he’s doing. Having been born in London and trained as an ‘a la carte’ chef he migrated south to Cornwall where he wooed his wife to be, with a strong cockney accent and sun kissed skin….She actually couldn’t understand a drunken word he spoke and thought he may have been Italian.
However the love story continued with Mrs B, and after owning a couple of very popular restaurants and having three children in Penzance, Mr. B then became a familiar face to Newlyn. He spent about 10 years making a fantastic traditional vanilla until finally being poached by two of his offspring to open the Famously Fresh Parlour that is Mr. B’s
Mrs. B
Now this lady deserves an O.B.E, but having the patience of a saint isn’t always recognised, so here we are congratulating Mrs. B on having lived, worked and remained married to Mr. B for 40 years.
Pat, has always been the quietest of the ‘B’ family, however she remains the most constant and level headed. Having her very own strap line of “Is it really necessary?” has meant that when the others get carried away with half cooked ideas, she plants their feet firmly back on the ground. Mrs. B is the most gentle of women and will serve even the nastiest customer with a polite smile and extra large scoop. Good work Mrs. B.
Mr. B Junior
Although rarely seen in the property, Todd, is in fact a partner. His creative genius lies within the design of the shop and outrageous flavours such as ‘Whamberry’.
The middle child, he trained at the London Guitar institute and went on to become a Graphic Designer and fairly famous Punk Band, bass player. He now also teaches I.T at a primary school. Many strings to his bow you say, and yes you’re right in his spare time he also has a love for renovating classic cars, walking his dog, Sir Digby, and drawing sharks. If you want to come and stare at him, he may be there on a Thursday.
Mini B
Todd’s sister, otherwise known as Charlotte, is the youngest of the partners and has always had a very sweet tooth. Conjuring up combinations of flavours and now specialising in Ice Cream Cakes, this couldn’t be a better job suited to her.
After training to be a graphic designer and freelancing for a while, Mini B then decided her talents of eating sweet stuff all day would be better shown off in a small shop in Hayle.
